Deep 6 DISTINCTIVE DEEP SPECIALTY

 

This distinctive deep specialty course takes you to the next depth….40 metres (recreational limit). To be able to dive to these depths you need increased knowledge and skills for safe deep diving practices.

It takes one weekend or two days to complete your deep diver certification.

Topics covered include:

  • Physics and physiology at depth
  • Decompression theory
  • Dive planning
  • Equipment configurations; and
  • Emergency procedures.

At this level of diving, owning your own equipment is a must if you are to get the most out of this course.

'Diving at these depths safely is paramount, so knowing your own gear inside out is of the utmost importance'

Once you have completed your Deep 6 Distinctive Diver certification you can experience the thrill of partaking in some of fantastic deep dives available in and around Jervis Bay.

This certification will also allow you to complete courses such as:

  • TDI Decompression Procedures
  • TDI Extended Range

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You need to have Advanced Diver certification
  • Minimum equipment of mask / snorkel / fins / safety stop anchor
  • Minimum of 20 logged dives (mix of boat and shore dives).
